Welcome to

Welcome to Open Door Doodles~

At Open Door Doodles, we thoughtfully raise  Labradoodles with an Australian Labradoodle influence.  Our long term plan is to breed multigenerational Australian Labradoodles.  Our focus is calm temperaments, health,  and family companions.  Our program is built on intentional breeding for stability, trainability and emotional intelligence.  We offer purposeful puppy raising, and lifelong support for the families we serve.

Located in Northeast Ohio, we are a small, carefully structured program with our first planned litter expected in 2026. We believe in taking the time to build a strong foundation—prioritizing preparation, education, and quality every step of the way.

Our Approach~

We believe great dogs are shaped by both genetics and early environment. Our puppies come from fully health-tested parents and are raised in our home using a structured, hands-on approach that supports confidence, emotional stability, and healthy social development.

Each puppy receives daily interaction, gentle exposure, and individualized care to help ensure a smooth transition into family life.

Why We Do Things Differently~

- Small & intentional — limited litters for focused care

- Temperament-first — breeding for calm, stable family dogs

- Purposeful puppy raising — early structure and socialization

- Transparency & education — open communication at every step

- Lifelong commitment — support beyond puppy pickup day

Health & Responsibility~

All breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health testing so we can make informed, responsible pairing decisions. Health and long-term well-being are non-negotiable in our program.

Puppy Matching~

At approximately 6-7 weeks of age, puppies are temperament-evaluated and thoughtfully matched to families. We do this in order of deposit.

Each Puppy Goes Home With~

- 2-year health guarantee

- Vaccinations & deworming

- Microchip & vet wellness exam

- Go-home puppy pack

- Lifetime breeder support

~We invite you to browse our website to learn more about our program, see our upcoming litter plans, and discover what makes our puppies so special.

Thank you for considering Open Door Doodles — we can’t wait to help you find the perfect addition to your family!

ABOUT

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

*At Open Door Doodles, we believe that providing a comprehensive curriculum for our puppies is essential to their development and well-being. Our curriculum is designed to give our puppies the best possible start in life and to prepare them for their new homes. We are committed to providing our clients with healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies that will bring joy and love to their homes for years to come.

*Our curriculum includes early stimulation exercises, introducing crate training, beginning potty training, basic obedience training, and exposure to different types of environments and experiences.

Early Stimulation Exercises:  (Also known as ENS and ESI ) We use early stimulation exercises to help our puppies develop their neurological systems and to promote healthy brain development. These exercises are done during the first few weeks of the puppy's life and involve gentle touches and movements that stimulate the puppy's senses.

Crate Training: We introduce our puppies to crate training at a young age to help them feel safe and secure in their own space. Crate training also helps with potty training and helps to prevent destructive behavior. This doesn't mean your puppy will be fully crate trained, this means we have laid a foundation and it's up to our families to continue.

Potty Training: We will start potty training our puppies as soon as they are old enough to begin learning. Our potty training methods will be positive and gentle, and will use rewards and positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior.  Just like crate training, we lay the foundation for you to continue once puppy goes home.

Exposure to Different Environments and Experiences: We expose our puppies to different types of environments and experiences to help them become well-adjusted and confident dogs. We take our puppies on car rides, introduce them to new people, and expose them to different sounds and sights.

Meet the Breeder

Jacqui

Hi, I’m Jacqui — the heart behind Open Door Doodles. I raise Labradoodles in Northeast Ohio with a focus on temperament, health, and thoughtful early development.  My program is intentionally designed with a long-term goal of developing an Australian Labradoodle breeding program, built carefully and responsibly over time.

I’m a wife, mother, and lifelong caregiver by nature. With a background in nursing and years of hands-on caregiving, I bring a calm, attentive, and intentional approach to raising both dogs and puppies. I believe that early experiences, structure, and consistency play a critical role in shaping confident, emotionally stable dogs.

Before Open Door Doodles, I had loved and cared for dogs within my family, but I had never experienced choosing a puppy of my own. Skye was the first dog I personally selected, and she came home with us in March of 2025 during one of the most challenging seasons of my life. Through her, I experienced firsthand the deep comfort, steadiness, and healing that a carefully chosen dog can bring into a home. They truly are heart healers.

Through Skye, God has shown me His tangible love, faithfulness, and comfort time and time again. As this breeding journey unfolded, I experienced God opening doors one at a time, each step being guided with purpose and clarity. In honoring His steady hand throughout this process, the name Open Door Doodles became a natural reflection of that journey.

Skye is the foundation of our program and represents everything I value in breeding — stable temperament, meaningful connection, and the ability of a dog to enrich a family’s life in lasting ways.

Why I Chose to Breed~

My journey into breeding grew naturally from my experience as a dog owner and caregiver. After seeing firsthand the impact, a thoughtfully bred dog can have on emotional well-being and family life, I felt called to create a program rooted in intention, preparation, and responsibility.

Breeding, for me, is not about producing puppies — it is about stewarding temperament, health, and early development with care and purpose. I chose to build a small, intentional program where every decision is made with the long-term well-being of the dogs and the families they join in mind.

Why Australian Labradoodles~

I chose Australian Labradoodles because of their unique balance of temperament, intelligence, and adaptability. When bred responsibly, they offer predictability in coat, size, and disposition, making them especially well-suited for family life.  Plus, aren't they the most adorable pups ever?!

Australian Labradoodles are known for their people-focused nature, emotional sensitivity, and ability to integrate smoothly into a variety of households. Their calm, affectionate temperament — paired with thoughtful early socialization — makes them exceptional companions for families seeking a stable, loving dog.

At Open Door Doodles, I am personally involved in every stage of the process, from careful pairing decisions to daily puppy care and early socialization. Puppies are raised in my home with an emphasis on confidence-building, gentle exposure, and emotional resilience.

My commitment does not end when a puppy goes home. I value long-term relationships with our families and provide ongoing support throughout each dog’s life. Every puppy raised here is a responsibility I take seriously and a relationship I cherish.

My hope and prayer is that families who welcome an Open Door Doodles puppy into their home experience the same joy, comfort, and deep connection that Skye has brought into mine.

Skye is everything we could hope or dream for in a companion.  She's gentle, kind, endlessly affectionate, and loves a good cuddle session. Her sweet temperament and calm obedient nature make her a true comfort to everyone she meets. Whether she's snuggled up by your side or greeting you with her human-like hugs (literally-lol) she radiates warmth and love.  It's her steady, loving spirit that inspires the heart of Open Door Doodles.

Skye is an F1 labradoodle (50% lab, 50% poodle) with a beautiful wavy apricot colored coat.
