At Open Door Doodles, one of my greatest passions is training. I truly believe that training is about so much more than teaching a dog to sit or stay—it builds trust, strengthens communication, and creates a deeper relationship between a family and their dog. A well-trained dog is more confident, more enjoyable to live with, and better equipped to become the companion your family envisioned bringing home.
I’ve also seen firsthand that many dogs are surrendered or rehomed not because they are “bad dogs,” but because families simply don’t have the tools or support they need. Investing in quality training from the beginning can prevent many of these challenges, creating a happier home for both the dog and their family. In my opinion, training is one of the best investments you can make—it pays dividends for the lifetime of your dog.
Because I believe in the lifelong value of training, I offer a Training Incentive Program to encourage every puppy family to continue building on the foundation we begin here. My hope is that every Open Door Doodles puppy grows into a well-mannered, confident companion who brings joy to their family for years to come.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the $250 Training Incentive Refund, the following requirements must be met:
-
Your puppy must successfully complete a basic obedience training program with a professional dog trainer by 18 months of age.
-
The training program must include foundational obedience skills appropriate for your trainer’s curriculum, such as reliable leash manners, basic commands, recall, impulse control, and appropriate public manners. While training methods may vary, the program should include both on-leash and off-leash reliability where appropriate.
-
Training must be completed through a professional trainer or established training facility. Self-guided or online-only programs (including Baxter & Bella or similar at-home courses) do not qualify for the incentive.
-
Proof of successful completion must be submitted. Acceptable documentation includes a certificate of completion, a signed letter from the trainer, or other written verification from the training facility.
-
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of completing the training program.
-
The puppy must remain in the original purchaser’s home and be in good standing under the terms of the purchase agreement.
-
Open Door Doodles reserves the right to verify training completion with the trainer or training facility before issuing the refund.
Once all requirements have been met and verified, a $250 refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
